2000 Italian Series

The 2000 Italian Series was won by Semenzato Rimini for the second straight year. The Pirates again beat Caffe Danesi Nettuno in the final to win their ninth Serie A1 scudetto. Former major leaguer Don August won two games for Rimini in the series and future major leaguer Jason Simontacchi won another. David Sheldon hit three HR's and had 11 RBI's.
