1989 Triple-A Classic
The 1989 Triple-A Classic was the 52nd meeting between the champions of the American Association and International League in a postseason series. The Indianapolis Indians won their fourth straight American Association title, while the Richmond Braves won the International League's Governors' Cup for the second time in four years.
Indianapolis swept the series, stretching their Classic winning streak to eight games.
