1962 Junior World Series
The 1962 Junior World Series was the 46th meeting between the champions of the American Association and International League. The Louisville Colonels had won their third straight American Association playoff, while the International League's Atlanta Crackers won the Governors' Cup in their first year of IL play.
With the American Association on its last legs and rain playing havoc with the schedule, the attendance for the event was low. Weather forced Games 6 and 7 to be played as a doubleheader in Louisville, and only 2,020 attended at Cardinal Stadium. The Crackers swept the two games to win the series.
This would be the last JWS until 1970, as the AA folded a month later.
