These two pitchers appeared in each of his team's first 3 games this year. Neither team played yesterday so the streaks are still alive.
I wrote about this last year. Rod Scurry holds the record with 6 games.

Slaten has pitched in three games but only accumulated .1 innings? And still given up zero earned runs? curious.

Such is the life of the LOOGY. Faces the one batter, doesn't get the job done, sits down, and the next reliever saves his butt.

I would be remiss not to comment on your exquisite avatar, Tom.

Too bad they haven't averaged 1 IP/G. Its fun when a reliever qualifies for the ERA title in the first week of the season.

Watch out, Brian Cashman will have something to say about these guys being abused too.

Don't get too many Rod Scurry posts. Very nicely done!!!
Can Doe Boyland be far behind?

Well...we're talking about pitchers and streaks, so...how about a post about most consecutive games from the start of a season for a team allowing no more than one run? Of course it's about my Orioles.

I've wondered about the chances of a LOOGY breaking Mike Marshall's games pitched record- something goofy like 111 appearances, 52.2 innings...

I got Dennys Reyes and Danys Baez meixed up for a moment. I didn't think Baez had gotten into all three Phillies games that had been played thus far.
Of all of the pitchers who made the Phillies opening day roster, Baez was the last one I would have picked to have been the first one to pick up a W.

[...] A few days ago, Dennys Reyes made news by appearing in each of the Red Sox's first three games. [...]
