  Traded a player to be named later, Rollie Fingers, Bob Shirley and Gene Tenace to the St. Louis Cardinals. Received Terry Kennedy, John Littlefield, Al Olmsted, Mike Phillips, Kim Seaman, Steve Swisher and John Urrea. The San Diego Padres sent Bob Geren (December 10, 1980) to the St. Louis Cardinals to complete the trade.
