  As part of a 3-team trade, traded Glenn Spencer to the New York Giants and Gus Dugas to the Philadelphia Phillies. Received Freddie Lindstrom from the New York Giants. In addition, the Philadelphia Phillies sent Kiddo Davis to the New York Giants; and the New York Giants sent Chick Fullis to the Philadelphia Phillies.

  Signed Waite Hoyt as a free agent.

• February 16, 1933

  Dave Barbee and Erv Brame player rights sold to the Detroit Tigers.

• June 23, 1933

  Signed Val Picinich as a free agent.

• August 26, 1933

  Purchased Cy Blanton from Tulsa (Texas).

  Purchased Red Nonnenkamp from Tulsa (Texas).

• September, 1933

  Traded a player to be named later and cash and a player to be named to Oakland (PCL). Received Cookie Lavagetto. The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Stan Keyes (minors) (March 15, 1934) to Oakland (PCL) to complete the trade.

  Signed Clise Dudley as a free agent.

  Drafted Pat Veltman from Oakland (PCL) in the 1933 rule 5 draft.

  Released Clise Dudley.

  Traded Adam Comorosky and Tony Piet to the Cincinnati Reds. Received Red Lucas and Wally Roettger.
