Zdeněk Židek

Zdeněk Židek was a fastpitch softball pitcher and Czech lawyer, who then became a softball umpire. He moved from there to baseball, working the Extraliga and the 2019 CEB Cup. He was named Czech Umpire of the Year in 2020. He then became a umpire in the US, working in class A in 2021; he was the only European ump in the minors at the time.
