Team History[edit]
The Zanesville Greys were charter members of the Frontier League in 1993 and won its first-ever championship by defeating the Ohio Valley Redcoats in the league finals that year. However, the team had trouble competing financially while based in a small town of only 25,000 persons, and suspended operations after four years. The team was named after writer Zane Grey, a local luminary who also played minor league baseball in the 1890s.
