Biographical Information[edit]
Zack Jones played college ball at Harper College and Trinity Christian College and graduated in 2017. While at Trinity, he earned Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference all-conference honors in 2015 and 2016. Jones went undrafted during the MLB 2017 amateur draft so he joined the independent league Windy City ThunderBolts as a third string catcher. The Arizona Diamondbacks signed him for the 2018 season and he played at three levels that year.
In 2020, the Philadelphia Phillies hired Jones for their hitting coach position with the GCL Phillies West before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season. He was then a coach for the FCL Phillies in 2021.
