Zach Bove

Biographical Information[edit]

Zach Bove was named assistant pitching coach of the Kansas City Royals in 2023.

He served as a coach for the College of Central Florida for seven years, first as a hitting coach (he was a position player at Flagler College) before turning his attention to the school's pitchers in 2015. He helped develop Nate Pearson, who was drafted in the first round of the 2017 amateur draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. He was later assistant pitching coordinator for the Minnesota Twins, from where he was hired by the Royals. He got his start in the Twins chain as the pitching coach for the GCL Twins in 2019, then was promoted to the assistant pitching coordinator position. He was known with the Twins for using analytics and biomechanics in working on pitchers' development.
