Biographical Information

Yuya Nirasawa has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Nirasawa represented Japan in the 2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup, hitting .345/.406/.379 and tying for 9th with 8 runs. He was named the All-Star first baseman. He was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the fourth round of the 2019 NPB draft, and he was placed in the minors in his first two seasons. After hitting .255 with 4 homers in the minors in 2021, Nirasawa was promoted in 2022, and he was 1-for-10 with the big club. He was 7-for-50 in 2023, but he played well in the ni-gun and won a player of the month award. In the 2023 CLCS Final Stage Game 1, Nirasawa was named their starting first baseman, but he was 0-for-2. That was his only appearances in the playoffs, and the Hanshin Tigers swept them.
