Biographical Information

Yusuke Uemura made his Nippon Pro Baseball debut in 2008.

Uemura hit 27 homers in high school and was timed at 91 mph. The Hiroshima Carp took him in the third round of the 2006 NPB draft. He made it to the big club in 2008, allowing one run in three innings with three hits and three walks. He surrendered seven hits, four walks and five runs in a 3-inning stint in 2009. After not appearing for Hiroshima in 2010, he was with the Japanese national team for the 2010 Intercontinental Cup.
