Biographical Information[edit]

Yuniesky Larduet has been an outfielder for Las Tunas in the Cuban Serie Nacional.

Debuting in 2006-2007, he went 9 for 42 with 2 doubles, 5 walks and 3 steals in 6 tries; presumably he pinch-ran a lot as he scored 16 runs. He hit .263/.378/.316 as a backup outfielder in 2007-2008. In 2008-2009, he was 3 for 9 with a walk, triple, two steals and eight runs. He batted .236/.276/.255 in 2009-2010. In 2010-2011, he became a regular for Las Tunas, alternating between RF and CF. He hit .256/.306/.289 and stole only two bases in five tries.

Larduet batted .339/.386/.385 and fielded .968 in 2011-2012; he stole 14 bases in 22 tries and tied Yulieski Gourriel for 10th in the league in swipes. He hit .299/.366/.333 in 2012-2013 and went 10-for-13 in steal attempts while fielding .989. In a shortened season, he tied Marino Luis and Lázaro Rodríguez for the league lead in steals and he also tied for 4th with 8 sacrifice hits.
