Biographical Information[edit]
Yukio Yoshida pitched for the Japanese national team in the 1984 Amateur World Series, 1984 Olympics (winning the event), 1985 Asian Championship (which they won) and 1985 Intercontinental Cup (where they got a Bronze). In the 1984 Amateur World Series, he was 1-2 with a save and a 2.78 ERA, fanning 22 and walking only one in 22 2/3 IP. He led Japan in losses but was third in ERA behind Yasuhisa Kubo and Hiroshi Nagatomi. He never played professionally.
