Biographical Information

Yua Tamiya has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Tamiya was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 6th round of the 2018 NPB draft, but he mainly stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues as he only played 31 games combined in his first four seasons. He became their starting backstop in 2024 He was selected into the 2024 NPB All-Star Game, and he was 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, against Hiroto Saiki and Katsuki Azuma, in Game 1 while going 0-for-2 in Game 2.
