Biographical Information

Yosvany Fonseca pitched for 14 seasons in the Cuban Serie Nacional. The Matanzas southpaw led with 63 walks in 1999-2000 and tied Carlos Yánes for the most shutouts (4) in 2001-2002. He finished his career 70-113 with a 4.43 ERA in 294 games (263 starts). He allowed a .288 average in 1,584 IP, walking 721 and striking out 829.
