Biographical Information[edit]

Yosimar Cousín has pitched in Cuba and Canada and for the Cuban national team.

Cousín was 1-2 with a save and a 4.44 ERA as a rookie for the Ganaderos de Camagüey in 2014-2015. He did not appear the next season (though he did go 1-1, 1.29 for Cuba in the 2015 U-18 Baseball World Cup) and was 1-1 with a 5.56 ERA and 2.03 WHIP in 2016-2017. He was 3-4 with a 3.91 ERA in the first half of 2017-2018; when Camagüey did not qualify for the second half, he was picked up by Pinar del Río and was 0-2 with a 5.93 ERA in the regular season then was 1-1 with a 11.57 ERA in the postseason. He had a 1-7, 9.96 record for the Ganaderos in the first half of 2018-2019 but was still picked up by Holguín for the second half. He was 4-4 with a 5.19 ERA for his new club. He was 0-1 with a 2.38 ERA for Cuba in the 2019 Canadian-American Association. He debuted for Cuba in the 2019 Premier 12 after showing progress early in the 2019-2020 campaign. He got the start against Silver Medal-bound South Korea. Min-woo Park reached on an error and Ha-seong Kim grounded out. Yosimar walked Jung-hoo Lee but recovered to get Byung-ho Park and Jae-hwan Kim on flies. In the 2nd, he hit Eui-ji Yang and walked Hyun-soo Kim and Yariel Rodríguez took over; both runners scored, giving Cousín a 18.00 ERA, highest on Cuba's staff; Liván Moinelo was second at 6.75. [2]
