Biographical Information

Yoshihide Kanda pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.

Kanda was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 4th round of the 2002 NPB draft, and he had a 7.03 ERA in 10 appearances in 2003. His ERA was 5.76 in 16 games in 2004, and he only pitched 6 games with a 5.68 ERA in 2005. Kanda improved to a 3.62 ERA with 11 holds in 37 games in 2006, then he recorded a 3.20 ERA in 16 games in 2007. He had a 5.68 ERA in 4 games in 2008, and the Marines released him after he spent his 2009 season in the minors.

Overall, Kanda was 3-4 with a 5.07 ERA, collected 12 holds and a save in 105 appearances, struck out 94 and pitched 113 2/3 innings in 6 seasons in NPB.
