Yorkshire-Lancashire League
The Yorkshire-Lancashire League was formed in 1938 by the merger of the Yorkshire League (the strongest in Great Britain in 1937) and the North of England League. Each team was limited to two professionals to help develop the game on a local level. The league folded due to World War II.
