Yoni Vischschoonmaker debuted with the Antwerp Greys in 2008, going 2 for 11 with six strikeouts. In 2009, he was 4 for 22 with a double and five walks; he was 0-2 with a save and a 4.91 ERA. He played for Belgium in the 2009 European Junior Championship, going 1 for 13 with four walks, two steals, two runs and a RBI. He pitched eight innings, walking ten and allowed ten runs. He joined the senior national team for the 2010 European Championship.
