Biographical Information

Yi-Kai Wang pitched in the CPBL.

Wang was drafted by the CTBC Brothers in the 5th round of the 2018 CPBL Draft, and he had a 5.06 ERA in 5 games in his rookie year. He missed the 2020 season due to left elbow injury, and he recorded a solid 2.81 ERA in 34 relief outings in 2021. He pitched 13 2/3 shutout innings in 2022, and he also played for the Sydney Blue Sox in the winter of 2022-2023; his ERA was 7.45 there. Wang had an elite 1.29 ERA in 16 games in the minors in 2023, but his ERA was 6.10 with the big club.

Wang's repertoire included a fastball (peak 93.8 mph) and slider.
