Biographical Information

Yeremi Tamayo pitched for the Ecuadorian national team in the 2022 South American Championship. He pitched one game, four days before his 20th birthday, starting versus tourney champion Brazil. He began the game by walking Pedro Okuda then serving up a RBI double to Felipe Burin before retiring Tiago Magalhães, Iago Januário and Jean Tomé in order. He went 2 1/3 innings, allowing four hits, four walks and three runs (all earned) while fanning none before Damián Villanueva took over.
