Biographical Information[edit]
Yasuyuki Yamamoto was a pitcher who represented Japan in the 1978 Amateur World Series and 1979 Intercontinental Cup. He played for Kobe Steel in the Industrial League after college. In the 1978 Series, he threw a 7-inning mercy rule perfect game against Belgium, striking out 16. It was his lone appearance of the event.
