Biographical Information

Yang Yanyong was an orphan from Mongolia who began playing baseball when he was 11 years old. He made it to the Shanghai Eagles, then joined the Chinese national team as an 18-year-old. In the 2013 World Baseball Classic, he went 0 for 9 with four strikeouts as China's starting right fielder.
