Biographical Information[edit]
Yanaël Delpech pitched in the Division Elite and for the French national team.
He was 3-2 with a save and a 2.23 for the Toulouse Tigers in 2003. [1] Making the French squad for the 2003 Baseball World Cup, he made one appearance. He closed out their 14-2 loss to Team USA and was their best pitcher that day, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk after succeeding Nicolas Dubaut in the 5th inning of a mercy rule loss. [2]
Delpech had a 8-3, 2.83 record with a save in 2004; he was Toulouse's #3 hurler after Aaron Pribble and Samuel Meurant. He fell to 0-2, 11.05 in 2005 and only pitched four innings in 2006 (scoreless, with a win). [3] He had a 4.26 ERA in four games in 2007. [4] He announced his retirement in 2008. [5] Returning to the field, he was 2-1 with a save and a 2.29 ERA in 2009. [6]
The veteran resurfaced briefly with Toulouse in 2019, allowing 10 runs (9 earned) in 6 innings. [7] He later became an executive with the team. [8]
