Biographical Information[edit]

Wim van der Poel was a Dutch player and administrator. His son Laurens van der Poel played in the Hoofdklasse and his wife Tiny van der Moel was an administrator and official scorer.

Van der Poel played for Quick Amsterdam (it is unclear if they were in the top Dutch league when he played for them) and became an administrator with them in the 1950s, as board member and secretary. He moved to Rap in the 1960s and Rap became the Amsterdam Pirates. He was briefly chairman of the Pirates in the 1970s.
