Biographical Information[edit]
Willy Miranda hit .250 for the Cuban national team in the 1946 Central American and Caribbean Games. He was known as a superb glove man and a weak hitter; Phil Rizzuto, whom Willy backed up with the New York Yankees, called Miranda one of the best fielders he had ever seen.
Notable Achievements[edit]
- Won A World Series with the New York Yankees in 1953 (he did not play in the World Series)
