Biographical Information[edit]
Willie Garoni pitched three games in the major leagues at age 22 in 1899 for the New York Giants. He had thrown five shutouts for the Bridgeport Orators that year.
He died of tuberculosis in 1914 at age 37.

Sporting Life carried his obituary on Sept. 19, 1914. He played in the Connecticut State League for several years and then in the Eastern League. Later he became a contractor - the biography above says he installed sewers, and contracted tuberculosis from that work.
