Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Willie Argo has played in the Tampa Bay Rays minor league system since 2012 (through 2014).

He was drafted three times. Initially, the Arizona Diamondbacks took him in the 49th round of the 2008 amateur draft out of high school, but he opted not to sign. The Pittsburgh Pirates then took him in the 43rd round of the 2011 amateur draft out of college, but again, he did not ink a contract. He did sign after the Rays took him in the 22nd round of the 2012 amateur draft.

The speedy ballplayer was named to the Rays' MiLB.com Organization All-Star teams in 2012 and 2013 after posting stolen bases totals of 17 and 37, respectively, while showcasing on-base percentages of .390 and .404.
