Biographical Information

Pitcher Williams Perez was signed by the Atlanta Braves before the 2009 season. He made his major league debut for the Braves in 2015, in his 7th season as a professional. He showed his versatility in June of that season when he picked up his first career save in an emergency relief outing on June 13th, then two days later pitched 6 shutout innings in beating the Boston Red Sox, 4-2, to improve to 3-0 on the year. In his first six big league starts, he allowed one run or less five times.
