Bill Reccius

William Reccius

Bill Reccius was the brother of Phil Reccius and John Reccius. Together, they formed the most prominent baseball family in Louisville, KY in the late 19th century.

Contrary to his brothers, Bill never appeared in a major league baseball game. However, he became part-owner o0f the Louisville Eclipse of the American Association in 1882, alongside brewer J.H. Plank. He made his money in a sporting goods business. He sold off his shares after the 1884 season.
