William F. Ladd

Biographical Information[edit]
William Ladd was a member of the New York Knickerbockers from 1852 until 1857. He was into making flatware as well as silver water pitchers, cups, and other items of that sort outside of baseball. He "was in the partnership of Gelston, Ladd & Co. with George S. Gelston 1839-1844" according to this website.
One of his water pitchers was listed at an auction over a century later for thousands of dollars while the flatware only go for tens of dollars online.
