William B. Henderson
- Born July 28, 1883 in Mount Vernon, OH USA
- Died June 14, 1966 in Columbus, OH USA
Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder William Henderson played in the minor leagues from 1907 to 1908 and from 1910 to 1915. Perhaps his best campaign, per records available, was 1914 with the Adrian Fencevilles. That year, he hit .258/.332/.337 with 3 home runs, 134 hits, 76 RBI and 17 stolen bases in 146 games. A few years earlier, in 1908, he stole 24 bases for the Battle Creek Crickets.
Baseball-Reference.com lists him as the manager of the 1907 Crickets, however the Baseball Reference Bullpen lists their manager as one James Henderson. Likewise, the Bullpen once listed the 1914 Fencevilles as being managed by a Cal Henderson, however such an individual does not seem to have existed. As William Henderson was on the team that year, the manager was likely him. He replaced Bill Cristall partway through the year.
