Biographical Information

Wes Blogg played 9 games for the Pittsburgh Alleghenys of the American Association in 1883. Three years later, in 1886, he worked one AA game as an umpire.

He also played outside of the majors. At age 22 in 1877, he had one of the highest batting averages on the Manchester, NH team, a team which had many former or future major leaguers on it. He played ball as late as 1884 and apparently was an umpire in various leagues after that.
