Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Wendell Fairley was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the first round of the 2007 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Andrew Jefferson for $1 million and made his pro debut in 2008 on June 22 for the AZL Giants against the AZL Athletics, striking out 3 times in 3 at-bats yet somehow scoring twice and driving in a run.
