Biographical Information

Welisson Viana was the All-Star right fielder in the 2004 South American Championship at only 15 years of age. He helped the Brazilian national team win a Silver Medal; he got his shot with the team because the older regulars were playing in a qualifier for the 2005 Baseball World Cup. He went to Japan to play high school baseball, as some other Brazilian players did.
