Biographical Information

Wei-Ching Cheng pitched in the TML for 4 years.

Cheng represented Taiwan in the 1987 World Junior Championship and 1990 Haarlemse Honkbalweek. He was signed by the Chianan Luka when they were founded in 1997, and he had a 6.23 ERA in 10 games in his first season. He had a 3.21 ERA in 25 games in 1998, and he also attended the 1999 TML All-Star Game. However, Cheng’s ERA rose to 6.59 in 19 games in 1999, and he only pitched 6 games with a 13.50 ERA in 2000. The Luka released him after the 2000 season, and his professional career ended.

Overall, Cheng was 1-1 with a 5.46 ERA, pitched 94 innings and struck out 35 in 4 seasons in the TML.
