Biographical Information

Wei-Chih Lin pitched in the CPBL for 5 years.

Lin represented Taiwan in the 2015 World Port Tournament. He was drafted by the Uni-President Lions in the 6th round of the 2016 CPBL Draft, and he had a 6.92 ERA in 21 appearances in 2017. Lin struggled again as his ERA was 6.93 in 13 games in 2018, and he allowed 16 runs in 3 2/3 innings in 2019. He pitched 25 games with a 5.46 ERA in 2020, and he only had 2 appearances with the big club in 2022. The Lions released him after the 2022 season, and his professional career ended.

Lin's repertoire included a fastball (peak 91.2 mph), changeup and forkball.

Overall, Lin was 3-0 with a 8.28 ERA ,pitched 70 2/3 innings and struck out 34 in 5 seasons in the CPBL.
