Wayne Riser
Biographical Information[edit]
Wayne Riser has been a college coach.
After being a pitcher-outfielder at Shepherd College, Riser spent two years as an assistant coach there then was promoted to head coach. He started his career there 327-236-2, setting a school record for wins. He was West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 1994, 1997 (39-7) and 2002 (37-12-1). In 1997, he set the Shepherd record for wins in a year.
After 22 years at Shepherd, Riser moved to University of Mary Washington as head coach in 2013.
