In 1914 the Waterbury Contenders of the Eastern Association became the Waterbury Frolickers. Based in Waterbury, CT, the Frolickers finished second at 69-51, behind the New London Planters. The club had four of the EA's 10 .300 hitters, led by batting champion Eugene Smith. The circuit didn't return the season.
