Biographical Information[edit]
Warren "War" Sanders pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1903 and 1904.
Born in Maynardville, TN, north of Knoxville, TN, he attended the University of Tennessee in 1897. He and Charlie Moran were both there in 1897 and both came to the majors in 1903.
Sanders spent many years in the minors, of which nine seasons were with Omaha. He also won 20+ games twice for Nashville in 1901 and 1902.
He also managed one year in the minors.
