Biographical Information[edit]

Walter Wilson pitched in the minor leagues from 1946 to 1949 and 1951 to 1952. His best campaign was 1951, when he went 16-9 with a 2.95 ERA in 27 games for the Kinston Eagles. In 220 innings, he allowed just 166 hits, but walked 126 batters.

On July 13, 1947, with the Mahanoy City Bluebirds, he tossed a 7-inning no-hitter against the Bloomingdale Troopers.

He served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946.
