Walter Gilhooley
Walter Gilhooley had played pro football for the Ottawa Roughriders, then worked as an attorney. When the Great Depression ruined his legal practice, he became a sportswriter for the Ottawa Journal. He helped found the Canadian-American League and served as president in its first year, 1936.
