Walt Piggott

Walt Piggott was a college coach.
Piggott was a catcher in college and served in the Navy in World War II. He coached Ferris State College from 1969-1983, going 295-218-2; he also coached football and basketball and taught at the school. His baseball teams won four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles and he was GLIAC Coach of the Year in 1983. He was also assistant coach for two years. Off the diamond, he was active in Habitat for Humanity.
