Biographical Information[edit]
Walt Massefski played in the minor leagues from 1954 to 1956. In 1954, he hit .363 with 17 home runs and 182 hits between the Ada Herefords/Ada Cementers and Gainesville Owls. He hit .320 with 14 home runs, 178 hits and 107 RBI for the Paris Orioles in 1955, leading the Sooner State League in the latter two categories. His career ended after he hit .236 with nine home runs and 98 hits in 116 games between Paris, the Aberdeen Pheasants and Lubbock Hubbers/Texas City Texans.
Overall, he hit .311 with 40 home runs and 458 hits in 379 games spread over 379 games.
