Biographical Information[edit]
Walt DeVoy played 19 games for the St. Louis Browns in 1909. He was 24, the same age as Burt Shotton, who also made his major league debut that year with the Browns.
In 1910 the Vernon club contended that DeVoy had not honored a contract, but the National Commission ruled that Vernon did not submit proof. Source: Sporting Life, March 19, 1910.
