Biographical Information[edit]
Wally Komatsubara played baseball, football and boxing in high school. He was in the Army during the Korean War and served in the Honolulu Fire Department for 29 years, retiring as captain. He then was a scout for the Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, California Angels and Boston Red Sox, retiring from that job in 2009 at age 80. He signed John Hattig.
