Shortstop Wally Flager had 220 at-bats in his only season in the big leagues.

He played for Salem and Portland in 1946. Source: WIL

In 1952 he was player-manager for the semi-pro Silverton Red Sox, who won the Northwest championship but didn't have the money to go to the national tournament. Source: Silverton

He went to a predecessor of Bloom Township High School (formerly Bloom High and Bloom Trail High, which merged), as did Jim Bouton. Source: Bloom
