Vitally Malstrenko was on the Ukrainian national team in the 1995 European Championship but did not get into a game. Given vagaries of transliteration of names from Cyrillic, he is likely the same player as Vitaly Maystrenko who was with Ukraine for the 2001 European Championship (that is the source for the 1974 birthyear). He went 1-for-13 with two RBI in that event and fielded .900. The hit came against Spain.
