Biographical Information[edit]

Vinicio Sparagna has played in the Italian Baseball League.

Sparagna debuted in 2004 with Anzio, hitting only .098/.174/.180 with 30 strikeouts in 61 at-bats. In 2006, he batted .172/.272/.245 with 56 whiffs in 151 at-bats. He resurfaced in 2010 with Nettuno and put up a .246/.368/.386 line as a part-timer. In '11, he hit .220/.355/.250 then was 4 for 24 with four walks and two doubles in the 2011 Italian Series as Nettuno fell to T&A San Marino. An outfielder from 2004-2011, he moved to catcher in 2012. Their main backstop that year, he hit .216/.387/.289 with 23 walks in 35 games. He was 4 for 16 with a double, two walks, 3 runs and 5 RBI in five games in the 2012 European Cup. In June 2013, though, Vinicio was suspended for a positive doping test.
